Sofa Surfing

Many young people who for different reasons find themselves with nowhere to live or stay for a while, do what is called ‘sofa surfing’. This usually means staying with different friends, often on their floor or if you are lucky on their sofa. This short story is a reconstruction using real audio from a young person talking through their experiences.

This video contains a visual lecture from a behavioural specialist who goes through the do’s and don’ts when trying to understand your teenager. It is a useful tool to help you think about the best way to deal with family conflict.
